Unit Area Police/SS Reports/Notes
July 15, 1941
Sicherungsdivision 207

Had moved up the coast and was providing security aroung AG Nord HQ in Riga

II./Polizei-Regiment 9 which was Police Battalion 112 (Reserve)

This battalion was formed with personnel from Magdeburg.
Field Post Number(s): 04097,
Commanding Officer(s) Major Kurt Güdler (to 1945)
In July 1942 the battalion became the II/Police Regiment 9 and each battalion was split off to assist an Army Security Division. If so, why listed in 1941? 207 is not listed OOB until Apr. 42

Sicherungsdivision 281 This division and the 285 are working SW of Rezekne

They received the III/9 which did not become part of the Regiment until Oct 43.(?) Still most likely it was operating with it earlier. Did not become active until 1941

1941: In Posen, Poland
September 1942: The battalion was stationed in Mogilev.
October 1943: In Lodz, Poland

Highly unllikely it was active with the division until Sept 1942

Sicherungsdivision 285

2. SS-Infanterie-Brigade

3/Polizei-Bataillon 53 - Another Btl. that had its companies split off.

Based on what other co. were up to and 2 SS Inf was involved it is highly likely this was a very dirty co. Probably op. with 2 SS rather than Div.

Sicherungsdivision 403 In Vilna/Wilna/Vilinus and providing security for city and surrounding area
